    My style of yoga:

I teach based on the traditional Hatha form of yoga, which branches out to the more physically demanding Vinyasa flow style. I will also teach the more relaxing, restorative Yin yoga in the evenings.

    My retreat offering:

Our morning flow sessions will be physically energizing, working with breath based movements to build heat in the body getting to grips with the asana practice (physical postures). My classes will include various traditional yoga techniques to help you connect with the true essence of yoga aiming to leave you feeling invigorated and uplifted. The evening sessions will provide the perfect balance to the dynamic flow of the morning, we will work restoratively, sitting in our postures for up to 5 minutes to work deep into the connective tissue and loosen physical and emotional tension within the body.

Who would benefit from my teachings:

Totally new and experienced yogis. Students will be able to work to their own capabilities and take what they want from the retreat.

    What you will take home:

A basic understanding of the fundamentals of a Vinyasa based yoga practice. Upon finishing the retreat you will have established a set of postures that you can put together into your own sequence that suits your lifestyle at home. You will also have the tools to start a meditation practice using breathing techniques. Above all you will take home a relaxed, rejuvenated and revitalised body and mind.

    My other special offerings:

    • Massage,€80 per hour
    • Katerina will also be offering shiatsu therapy sessions at €80 / £63 per hour (only available on the 21-27th July)

    Why I teach yoga:

I came to yoga from a holistic background having worked as a massage therapist. I have a very hands on approach to yoga, concentrating on alignment whilst encouraging you to find your own path.

I discovered yoga whilst living in New Zealand, starting with Ashtanga, having practiced many different styles, it became my life. Teaching felt like the natural progression and so I travelled to India to train in Ashtanga, Vinyasa flow, Rocket and Yin yoga and I have now completed over 600 hours of teacher training.

I teach simply because it is the most satisfying, heartwarming job to connect with your students and, ultimately help them to lead a healthy, positive, fulfilled life. I look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful Silver Island to enjoy this experience together. Namaste.
